This year started off with a bang by hiring our third Instructional Technology Specialist, Brittni Branton. Brittni was hired onto our team after Jessica Johnston became our amazing Director of Communication and Special Projects for BISD. Brittni works at our High School, Alternative Campus, and Central Office. Brittni was able to bring phenomenal ideas, innovation, and cross-curricular collaboration to Brenham High School and our Department. We are extremely lucky to have Brittni as part of our team.
This year also gave us our best Geek Week professional development attendance by BISD educators in 3 years!! We offered our Geek Week PD 198 different times this year on 7 campuses. 274 total Brenham ISD educators attended between 1-6 sessions accumulating a total of 906 total participants!
Our blog, http://brenhamtechdaily.blogspot.com/ , has grown massively this year due to excellent posts from our blog authors. Daily, we continue to supply educators with great instructional, teaching, and technology tips, tricks, and strategies. This year also brought our 1000th blog post to our readers including some of our most popular post.
We usually don't post very much between June 14th - August 1st... but we will try to add some great content that we learn about from attending conferences this summer!
